Finance Estimator

The affordability calculator was a flagship feature that I worked on when I first started at Driveway in 2020. The goal of the tool was to help customers better understand if they could afford a specific vehicle by providing the ability to see how various decisions would affect their overall cost and/or monthly payments.

The success of the feature continues to prove valuable to the business as of today, in 2023.

When the affordability calculator was first launched Driveway only offered used vehicles for sale. Eventually Driveway was able to sell New Cars and we needed to expand the finance calculator to help customers estimate lease agreements as well.
